About Rebecca
Rebecca Wildbear is a psychotherapist, soul guide, and writer based in Colorado with over 20 years of experience across her fields. She earned a bachelor's degree with majors in philosophy and religious studies as well as psychology, followed by a master's degree in counseling. Her career path includes working at a summer camp with people with disabilities, serving as a school counselor, working with Outward Bound, and practicing wilderness therapy with troubled teens and young adults. She has pursued specialized training including the SoulCraft Apprenticeship, Hakomi, and NARM for trauma work, and she integrates these with yoga, meditation, and a deep connection to nature and dreams. Wildbear founded the nonprofit Wild Yoga approximately one year ago to share practices from her book, which guides people toward greater autonomy and relationship with their soul, purpose, nature, and creative gifts. She offers one-on-one therapy and coaching, year-long group programs, and shorter online and in-person programs in nature. She is a member of the Yoga Alliance and Psychology Today and received a Who's Who Award. Wildbear attributes her path to being true to herself and following what she feels called to do, even amid challenges.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I guess the best part of my... of where I find myself at this moment in life is... Is just being true to myself. In some moments, that's not an easy thing to do. true to what I believe is true, even when It upsets other people, or... You lose belonging in a certain place, but doing what... or you get judgment, you know, doing what you feel is right, or the thing you're called to do.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Probably when somebody told me Don't be afraid to take risks. Early in my grad school time.
