What do you attribute your success to?
My success comes down to disciplined execution and genuine relationships. In self-storage, data drives decisions — but people drive performance. I’ve built my career by combining analytical rigor with empathy: knowing when to follow the numbers, and when to follow my gut. I also owe much of my growth to surrounding myself with mentors, operators, and clients who challenge me to think bigger and refine my systems every day.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
“Build systems that work when you’re not in the room.” That advice completely shifted how I lead and scale. It taught me that real growth isn’t about doing more — it’s about creating frameworks that allow others to succeed. That’s what inspired FitzOS, our operational system for storage facilities. It’s proof that when you design smart processes, results become repeatable, and excellence becomes standard.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Don’t wait to “fit in” — define how you show up. Self-storage, like most of commercial real estate, can be male-dominated, but results speak louder than stereotypes. Know your numbers, know your market, and lead with confidence. Find your niche, whether it’s operations, acquisitions, or strategy, and master it. Most importantly, don’t confuse being underestimated with being incapable — let that fuel your edge.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The industry is at a crossroads. Rising interest rates and compressed margins are forcing operators to get sharper and more efficient. That’s the challenge — and the opportunity. Facilities that rely on instinct alone will struggle, while those that embrace data, dynamic pricing, and operational discipline will thrive. The next wave of value creation in self-storage will come from optimization, not expansion.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity, accountability, and purpose. I believe in doing what’s right even when no one’s watching, owning results good or bad, and making sure the work I do actually improves someone’s life — whether that’s a client, a tenant, or a team member. In both business and life, success without integrity isn’t success at all.
