Her Story

About Rebekah

Rebekah Krieg serves as Sales Development Team Manager at a digital marketing agency in Denver, Colorado. She has spent nearly five and a half years with the same organization, beginning in an entry-level sales development role, advancing to project manager, and returning to lead the sales development team. Her educational background includes studies in communications and information sciences in eSociety, which aligned with her interest in how people communicate and led her into digital marketing. Rebekah credits her professional growth to an environment with strong female mentors who advocated for her and to lessons from her athletic family about teamwork, accountability, coaching, and continuous improvement. She values self-care and work-life balance, recognizing that leaders must prioritize their own mental well-being to support their teams effectively. Outside of work, she gives back through volunteering with Ronald McDonald House Charities, where she cooked meals and engaged with families, and with Volunteers for the Outdoors in Colorado, participating in trail cleanups in national parks.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Rebekah

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to being in an incredibly supportive environment with strong female mentors and leaders who advocated for me. Growing up in an athletic family taught me the value of teamwork, accountability, coaching, repetition, and continuous improvement, which shapes how I lead today.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

The confidence piece is huge. Sometimes it's easy to neglect other skill sets or assume you're not capable. Step into roles without a playbook, figure things out from scratch, trust yourself to build structure and create pathways. With confidence and a learning mindset, you can take on anything and carve out your own path.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

It's still a male-dominated field which can be intimidating, but it's changing. Women excel at building community, advocating for each other, and recognizing good work. The sense of community among female leaders is remarkable and getting stronger. Challenges remain like needing to repeat ideas to be heard at the leadership table.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Self-care is crucial to be successful. You can't take care of others unless you take care of yourself first, especially mentally. Work-home life balance is valued at my organization. Knowing what you can control as a leader and not burdening yourself with things outside your control is key. Giving back to the community through volunteering feeds my soul.
