About Rebekah
Rebekah Savage is an equine industry professional, bodywork practitioner, and business owner based in Leesburg, Florida, with more than 15 years of experience working across racing, hunter/jumper, educational programs, boarding facilities, and other equine environments. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Equestrian/Equine Studies from Virginia Intermont College and began building her career through hands-on experience in barns before establishing her own equine bodywork practice. Her work is grounded in a deep interest in equine comfort, movement, and overall well-being, with a particular emphasis on understanding the horse as a whole rather than treating individual concerns in isolation.
Since entering the equine bodywork field, Rebekah has continued to expand her knowledge and services through specialized training and ongoing education. She is certified in equine massage therapy through Equine Dynamics and as a PEMF practitioner through Pulse, while also incorporating acupressure and other bodywork techniques into her practice. Her work includes massage, PEMF, cold laser therapy, grooming, and clipping, with clients ranging from retired show horses to high-level performance athletes. She has also developed extensive operational and management experience through owning and running her business, overseeing scheduling, client relationships, bookkeeping, logistics, and day-to-day operations. Her approach reflects a commitment to continued learning, particularly in biomechanics, posture, equine movement, and evidence-informed approaches to horse welfare.
Beyond her technical expertise, Rebekah is motivated by a belief that better horsemanship begins with understanding and respecting the horse. Her interest in equine biomechanics and welfare aligns with her view that professionals and owners should continually question assumptions, educate themselves, and consider what a horse is experiencing rather than focusing solely on what the horse is being asked to accomplish. She also holds an associate degree in graphic design from Full Sail University, adding another dimension to her creative and professional background. As she looks toward the next stage of her career, Rebekah hopes to apply her extensive experience in operations, leadership, business management, and the equine industry to opportunities where she can continue learning, contribute meaningfully, and help organizations operate with efficiency, accountability, and care.
