Ten minutes with Regina
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the strong foundation my parents built for me. They modeled integrity, discipline, and a work ethic that never wavered. They taught me to always do my best, to stay grounded in purpose, and to carry myself with intention. Their example shaped who I am, guided how I show up, and continues to influence every step of my journey.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received was simple but transformative: document everything and advocate for yourself. Make sure you’re in the room and that your voice is heard—because if you don’t speak up for yourself, no one else can do it for you.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Trust yourself and stand confidently as your own advocate. Lean into the work you genuinely love, and let that guide your path. Seek out a mentor or even shadow someone in the field you’re interested in—having a trusted person you can ask questions, learn from, and receive direction from can make all the difference.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Entering the financial industry felt like stepping into a completely new world. I had to learn the landscape, understand the culture, and identify how my strengths could help me navigate that space. There was definitely an adjustment period, but I’ve moved past that learning curve. The company and leadership team is incredibly supportive and invest in their employees, which made all the difference in my growth and confidence.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
On a personal level, my foundation is rooted in family, strong morals, meaningful values, and the importance of quality time with the people I love. Professionally, I believe in enjoying the work you do, leading with integrity, maintaining a positive outlook, communicating clearly, and taking responsibility for your actions. These principles guide how I show up in every space.
