About Regina
Dr. Regina Beard is a nurse by trade with a doctorate degree in nursing practice. She founded Victory for Kids, a nonprofit organization established in 2022, with the goal of creating zeal among youth to pursue healthcare careers. To date, the organization has encountered and helped more than 16,000 youth, with more than a third pursuing healthcare careers at post-secondary institutions. She also operates Victory Training. Her educational path included prerequisites at Ivy Tech, graduation from Brown Mackie College in 11 months, and advising from Purdue Calumet. She is a member of the NAACP in Michigan City, the Hobart Education Foundation, and the Signal Safe Advisory Board. She hosts the Youth Healthcare Career Expo, which includes engineering components, and emphasizes faith, perseverance, and putting patients first in her advice to aspiring nurses.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Ensure you check in with your God first to confirm it's where He wants you. Have the heart for nursing because healthcare is patient-centered and ever-changing. Get into it for the right reason, not just the money or scrubs. Patient first always.
