About Reida

Reida Abisaid is a Regional Manager at Hudson’s Furniture in Orlando, Florida, where she oversees multiple store locations within a high-end design and furniture organization. She brings over 20 years of experience in her field, including more than 17 years with her current company. Throughout her career, she has been responsible for driving operational performance, strengthening sales leadership, and ensuring a consistent, elevated customer experience across all locations under her supervision. After moving to the United States over 27 years ago, Reida quickly established himself as a natural leader in every organization she joined. She believes that leadership is inherent and revealed through action, communication, and the ability to connect with people. Early in her career, she was consistently selected for leadership roles based on how she engaged with employees, built their confidence, and coached and trained teams. This natural ability to lead became the foundation of her professional path and continues to define her approach today. In her current role, Reida focuses heavily on developing people, with a strong emphasis on empowering her general managers as the foundation of her regional success. She invests deeply in leadership development, understanding that strong managers create strong teams. One of her greatest professional strengths and sources of pride is her ability to help individuals grow from uncertainty into confidence and from average performance into exceptional leadership. For Reida, the most rewarding part of her work is seeing others succeed because of the guidance, training, and belief she invests in them.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Reida

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my consistency, the way I do things, my commitment, and my passion for what I do. If you have passion for something, you'll be successful. Every time someone has passion for something, you'll see them being successful. I have a passion for growing and succeeding, and I'm on the right track. This has helped me a lot.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I've ever received is to understand your people and learn your people. This has helped me a lot. I really study my people before I even deal with them. I want to know more about them by sitting one-on-one and knowing them on a personal level. It helps me a lot to be more involved and influence them, giving them the road to success. Trust is very valuable between you and your team members - if they don't trust you, they don't follow you.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Don't wait for permission to lead. Step into your voice, own your expertise, and be intentional about the impact you want to have. Influence isn't given - it's built through consistency, courage, and willingness to take responsibility for outcomes. This is my advice.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

I don't really see challenges as challenges - I see them as opportunities. When I see a team member having a hard time reaching their goals, that becomes a challenge for me, and I get on it. I coach them and put them on the right track. Any area that needs attention, I take it as an opportunity and fix it right away. Because if you know the root cause, you can fix it. If you don't know the root cause, you're not going to do anything about it, and you will be in a worse situation.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

My goal is very simple: to leave every team, every person, and every opportunity better than I found it. That's what influence means to me. That's what I value.
