Her Story
About Renae
Renae Harris is the Learning and Development Specialist at OnPoint Warranty Solutions, LLC, a company in the warranty product protection industry based in Louisville, Kentucky. Over a career spanning nearly seven years in the sector, she has built a reputation for strengthening agent performance and elevating the customer experience through the training programs, updated processes, and troubleshooting resources she designs, with particular focus on furniture and adjustable base warranty claims. Before stepping into her current role in June 2026, she spent close to four years as an Adjudication Team Lead, a period during which she was already shaping training content and driving process improvements well beyond her formal title. Renae's path into the warranty industry was shaped by a varied professional background. She earned her bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and Corrections online from Everest University-Tampa while raising her family, building on an associate degree from Catawba Valley Community College in the same field. Her career began in loss prevention, where she sharpened her analytical instincts, and continued through satellite installation work that gave her hands-on technical expertise, including a certificate in electronic servicing. That combination of analytical thinking and technical know-how now underpins her ability to anticipate operational issues and translate them into practical resources for her team. Beyond her formal accomplishments, Renae is guided by a strong personal code centered on honesty, transparency, and quiet integrity, values she credits for both her professional growth and her approach to mentoring others. She speaks openly about the importance of perseverance, encouraging especially young women in her field to trust their own capabilities and not let obstacles or outdated expectations define their trajectory. Outside of work, she stays grounded through home renovation projects, supporting her teenage daughter's involvement in her high school band, and caring for her two dogs.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Renae
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to persistence and a refusal to give up, even when circumstances have been difficult.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best advice I've received is that I don't need to have everything figured out right away, I can learn as I go. I was taught early on not to let gender define what I could achieve, and that believing in myself and carrying that confidence forward is what opens doors.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would tell young women not to give up. If you have a dream, go after it, and when things get hard, dig in rather than walk away. The difficult moments can feel discouraging, but pushing through them while keeping your eye on the end goal makes all the difference.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Honesty and transparency matter most to me. I believe everyone makes mistakes, and I would always rather have someone admit "I messed up" or "I don't understand" than hide it. Doing the right thing, even when no one is watching, is something I hold myself to consistently.
