About Renee
Renee Freeman serves as an advocate and outreach coordinator in Knoxville, Tennessee, where she has dedicated over 10 years to supporting the homeless and assisting battered and abused women through direct community engagement. She collaborates with groups such as Next Step Initiative, Compassion Coalitions, Rescue Missionary, Ira Grimes Outreach Ministries, and Overcomer Believers, drawing on her minister certification from California to guide her outreach efforts. After running her own cleaning business for 25 years, Freeman transitioned into advocacy by transforming her personal experiences with addiction and abuse into a commitment to boots-on-the-ground work, including feeding those in need and participating in city government meetings. She emphasizes valuing oneself first and following one's passion over financial gain, values that inform both her professional and personal life.
