Her Interview
Ten minutes with Renee
01What do you attribute your success to?
I'm just always trying something new. I want to help and I sign up to do things. I just want to always engage my brain, and when I can turn it into help for the community, so much the better. I love Cheyenne and I give back. Raise your hand and say, I'll do it!
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Just do it. Make yourself available. Look beyond the book, just go out and say, what can I do here? Pay attention to what's going on in your community. Always be out looking for something new and exciting. If you want to volunteer, go volunteer and learn something.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Just take it on. You don't have to be afraid. Just do it. If you don't know how, learn. I had no idea how to merchandise tacos but I learned how to sell from my dad and just went for it.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Having a list of things to do. Plan and prioritize. Stay organized. I have so much on my plate that in order to get it done, I have to say, okay, here's all the things I have to get done, and then I plan, prioritize.
