About Reshma

Reshma B is a music journalist and filmmaker based in New York. She creates music documentaries and feature films, including the award-recognized Studio 17: The Lost Reggae Tapes, which explores the evolution of reggae music from Jamaica and premiered in New York after airing on the BBC. Reshma writes for outlets including Vibe Magazine, Rolling Stone, and Complex, and produces short documentaries for record labels such as Epic Records, Island Records, and Def Jam. She previously worked as genre lead at Tidal Streaming for four years. Reshma was born and raised in London and earned a chemistry degree before transitioning into media, starting as a stringer with the BBC and advancing to cover festivals worldwide and contribute columns to magazines. She is a member of the Recording Academy.
