About Revdr
Revdr Davis serves as Executive Creative Director of Camp Rising Star Academy, a nonprofit she has infused with a camp-like spirit to make learning enjoyable rather than traditional schooling. She brings 40 years of professional experience, having started her career in her 20s, and draws on her background as a wildly creative individual with strong organizational skills to inspire and empower others, often acting as a muse or gadfly to motivate people. Davis earned her undergraduate degree in psychology and marketing from the University of Delaware, participated in an exchange program at the University of Oregon working with social psychologists, and completed a PhD in sociocultural psychology at the University of Colorado on a full-ride teaching assistantship at age 28. Her daily work involves conducting community surveys and assessments to identify gaps and offer mentoring or activities, incorporating elements like astrology for fun insights, while managing multiple projects via clipboards and handling finances. She specializes in supporting gifted and talented individuals of all ages but primarily those over 9, helping them live their best lives and navigate a capitalistic society with emotional intelligence and self-care strategies. Davis has notable experiences including working with Dr. Masaru Emoto on water crystal research and children's education, authoring rhyming books like Adventures of Wanda Lou, and pursuing goals such as ending local homelessness while promoting peace and community well-being.
