Her professional journey reflects a commitment to accessible care, beginning with opening her own practice straight from residency to serve a specific community demographic.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Rhonda
01What do you attribute your success to?
Hard work and being blessed by God. I pray and things just fall into place. I'm a Christian and feel that almost everything is because God blessed me.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
As physicians, make sure you take care of yourself, try to find outlets to release stress, and find a support system to try to prevent burnout.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Dealing with insurance companies and getting paid is the biggest challenge. Reimbursements are low, rules change constantly, and it creates stress especially when running a large practice with staff to pay.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Having a positive attitude and showing gratitude. Frame things in a positive way, thank people for waiting, appreciate the small things, and don't let someone else's negative attitude change your own.
