Rhonda Stephens

Rhonda Stephens is a Certified Surgical Technologist with over 27 years of experience in the healthcare field. She entered the profession after a turning point in her family life, choosing surgical technology over nursing because its variety and puzzle-like nature suited her personality and allowed her to think several steps ahead during procedures. Stephens has built proficiency across numerous specialties including vascular, thoracic, urology, GYN, mother-baby, hand, foot, facial, and sports medicine, often traveling for agency shifts throughout Florida without a fixed home base. She emphasizes integrity, patient-centered care, and collaboration with surgeons, drawing on her broad experience to anticipate needs and maintain focus on the patient. Currently completing her Certified Surgical First Assist certification within the next year, Stephens is also developing a mentorship program called Aligning the Stars, with the motto that everybody has stardom in them, aimed at supporting new and transitioning professionals through networking and shared expertise.
