Her Story
About Rhonda
My career has always been about two things I love: creativity and making people feel good about themselves. I'm a freelance beauty sales and education artist, working with multiple beauty brands to drive in-store results through client experiences and education. I started part-time at Bloomingdale's and worked my way up to becoming a business manager at Estee Lauder. Throughout all those years, I loved doing makeup because it's creative, but at the same time, I loved showering positivity on people. I'm also the founder of Vision and Vibe Creations, a personal development brand I started about a year ago. It's focused on helping people get clear on their visions through vision board workshops and empowering experiences. Everything I do centers around connection and getting people to feel good about themselves. I've been influenced by personal development leaders like Tony Robbins since the 90s, going to all his events, and Bob Proctor. I'd say I really started getting into personal development work in 2017, but honestly, it's been part of who I am for as long as I can remember.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Rhonda
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to hard work, dreaming big, and making it happen. It all started back in the 80s when I made the New Jersey professional cheerleading team for the NBA. I remember being on the beach before tryouts, envisioning myself dancing to Flashdance, just envisioning the whole end scene. That's what I try to teach people - you have to see yourself in that role, whatever it is. You have to envision it and then work hard to make it real. That vision and determination have carried me through everything I've done since then.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Follow your dreams and work hard. I always say: wake, pray, slay. That's my motto and what I live by every day. You have to start your day right, be grateful, and then go out there and make things happen.
