Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to building strong connections and putting people first. Starting in retail at sixteen, I learned the value of listening, anticipating needs, and creating meaningful experiences—skills that have carried me through every chapter of my career. Life challenges and career transitions, from teaching to banking, reinforced the importance of adaptability, empathy, and consistently showing up for others.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received came from a prior manager who highlighted my ability to make people feel comfortable and create positive experiences. Their encouragement taught me the power of recognition—not just for myself, but in uplifting others—and reinforced the importance of showing empathy and care in every interaction.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to focus on listening more than selling. Understand your clients’ needs, provide honest guidance, and build trust—because relationships, not the hard sell, drive long-term success.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in banking right now is decreased foot traffic as more clients rely on mobile and online banking, while the opportunity lies in finding new ways to provide personalized, in-person experiences that build trust and relationships.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Integrity, reliability, and compassion are the values that guide both my work and personal life. Showing up consistently, supporting others, and treating everyone with empathy—whether at home or in the workplace—has been the foundation of how I measure impact and success.
