About Rio

Charlotte Parker serves as a REALTOR® in Loma Linda, Missouri, where she maintains an office at 5075 A Raintree Circle. With nearly two years of experience in the real estate industry, she is dedicated to helping buyers and sellers achieve their goals through personalized service, integrity, and a client-first approach that prioritizes relationships over commissions. Before transitioning into real estate, Parker built a successful career as a freelance writer while devoting herself to her family, including caring for her son with autism. Her diverse professional background also includes work as a model, artist, and communicator, enabling her to connect with clients from all walks of life.

In addition to her real estate career, Parker is a passionate advocate for autism research and for empowering women over 50. She regularly travels across the country to speak at conferences, organizations, and community events, generously offering her presentations without charge to educate, inspire, and raise awareness. Through her advocacy, she encourages greater understanding, inclusion, and opportunities for individuals and families affected by autism while promoting confidence, resilience, and positive representation for women in midlife and beyond.

Parker earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies from Emory College of Arts and Sciences, graduating with a 4.0 GPA, and also studied Communication and Media Studies at Jackson State University. Ten minutes with Rio

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to persistence, hard work, and a commitment to continual learning. Throughout my career, I have remained focused on putting my clients' needs first, believing that building trust and delivering exceptional service are far more important than simply earning a commission. I also rely on strong discipline, organization, and attention to detail to effectively manage the many moving parts of each transaction, ensuring a seamless experience and positive outcomes for those I serve.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering the real estate industry is to focus on building relationships and providing exceptional service rather than making the business solely about commissions. Take the time to research the initial investments, understand the realities of the industry, and be prepared to dedicate the necessary time and effort to build a successful career. It is equally important to establish healthy boundaries, maintain balance, and avoid burnout. Above all, treat every client with the same level of care, respect, and professionalism, regardless of the size of the transaction, because trust and integrity are the foundation of long-term success.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenges in my field today include the risk of burnout from constantly adapting to clients’ schedules, navigating extensive legal requirements and paperwork, and working in an industry where some professionals are primarily motivated by commissions rather than service. However, these challenges also create opportunities for agents who are committed to integrity, relationship-building, and putting clients first. By focusing on exceptional service, real estate professionals can create lasting connections and earn trust within their communities. I also see a meaningful opportunity to use my platform to increase visibility for underrepresented groups, including women over 40, while continuing to raise awareness and understanding around autism advocacy.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life are service, family, discipline, and a commitment to making a positive impact on others. I believe in putting people first, whether I am helping clients achieve their real estate goals or supporting causes that are meaningful to my community. I am passionate about promoting visibility, respect, and opportunities for women of all ages, especially older women who continue to bring valuable experience and perspective. I also believe in freely sharing knowledge, encouragement, and support through advocacy and motivational speaking, with the goal of inspiring others and creating meaningful change.
