Rita X is a brand director with 15 years of experience in the entertainment industry. She began her career working on music videos, in the music industry, and in movies before focusing on managing a comedian, tour management, partnerships, and serving as a brand ambassador. For the past six years, she has specialized in brand directing while remaining active across all aspects of entertainment. Rita is a member of Bert C Comedy Media. Her daily routine includes setting personal quotas and consistently meeting them through outreach and planning. She credits her mother with sparking her interest in entertainment through childhood activities involving soap operas and red carpet style reporting.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Focus on the business. Nothing else. That's the everything else is distractions, and I've learned that. Everything else is distractions, but as long as you focus on the business, you focus on whatever you're doing, you will get there way faster than you could ever imagine.

02What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Trying to get brands to believe in your brand. Like when you feel like you're overselling yourself. That can make you get a little down. You can believe in your brand so much... they kind of brush you off... that's where you have to check your ego at the door.
