Ritika Gupta

Ritika Gupta serves as Design Director of Walmart Collectibles, based in Chicago, Illinois. With nearly 23 years in the textiles industry, she specializes in home textiles and textile design. Gupta began her professional journey after earning a master's degree in textile design from the National Institute of Fashion Technology in India in 2003, where she graduated with honors and was rated the top candidate for her projects. Her master's thesis on the use of AI in textile design was scored as the most innovative. She started working with export houses, transitioned to a buying agency, and traveled internationally for work and shows. In 2012, she moved to the United States and has since worked with importers manufacturing for major retailers, big box stores, and furniture chains. In her current role for the past seven to eight years, Gupta oversees design teams, manages communications with overseas factories and retail partners, conducts trend forecasting, analyzes product voids, and collaborates with sales and marketing to develop strategies for customers.
