About rituparna
In my current role as Senior Business Analyst, I work closely with directors, senior-level VPs, and SVPs all the time. My day-to-day involves sending analytics reports to our executive stakeholders for business reviews, quarterly business reviews, and weekly business reviews. I do a lot of dashboard development for executive leadership and handle ad hoc data requests when leaders reach out to our team. I also work on the data architecture side, helping analysts within my team build repeatable, scalable analytics frameworks within the organization. When I joined my current organization, a lot of reporting systems were very manual, so I transformed all the reporting within our org. I moved that from static Excel worksheets to dynamic Tableau dashboards that are super connected and super automated. This increased the time to insight for our executive stakeholders by around 90%, and I'm really proud of that achievement because it revolutionized the reports they were looking at. Recently, I mentored two of our junior analysts who were converted from intern to full-time roles. Outside of work, I mentor entry-level analysts through our University of Washington program, and I'm also a mentor at the Data Visualization Society. I was judging a data analytics hackathon last week, the DataFest, so I'm involved community-wise in taking that data culture forward.
