Her Story
About Robin
I started as an internet sales rep 15 years ago at a dealership in New York. After retiring for 7 years to watch my granddaughter, I began working for my former boss at Elite BDC as their recruiter. I work remotely from home recruiting for our virtual outsourced automotive BDC call center and some dealerships. I love the quiet focus working from home provides compared to a dealership environment.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Robin
01What do you attribute your success to?
If you asked my grandson, he would tell you my spidey sense. But I think that I just can read people for the most part. I can read the room and know if that person is going to be successful in our company.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
I would have to say to really trust my first judgment.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Do your due diligence. Cover all your bases. And don't hire someone off just because it sounded good when you interviewed. You have to do your due diligence afterwards.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Being sure we're finding the right people to put on the seats on the bus that we have.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Honesty and transparency.
