About Robyn
Robyn Kade, MA, CHES, is the President and CEO of the Stress Management Institute for Health and Fitness Professionals™, a position she has held since 2014. With more than 26 years of experience in medical-based fitness, wellness education, and preventive health, she has dedicated her career to improving the lives of individuals living with chronic health conditions. As the founder of the Institute, Robyn developed the comprehensive Mind/Body Fitness Practitioner™ educational programs, including the Mind/Body Medicine Fitness and Wellness Specialist™, Holistic Group Fitness Instructor™, and Holistic Stress Management Consultant™ certifications. Through these programs, she equips health and fitness professionals with evidence-based strategies to help clients manage chronic stress and improve outcomes for conditions such as cancer, multiple sclerosis, arthritis, osteoporosis, Parkinson's disease, and other stress-related illnesses. Robyn began her career as a Personal Trainer and Physical Therapy Aide at Kessler Hospital in Hammonton, New Jersey, before spending 16 years as a Fitness Specialist at Virtua Hospital's William G. Rohrer Center for HealthFitness. She currently serves as a Personal Trainer at the Milton & Betty Katz JCC, where she supports medical-based fitness programming for individuals with chronic health conditions. In addition, she has shared her expertise as an Adjunct Professor at Camden County College, teaching courses in weight training and stress management. A respected educator, speaker, and advocate for preventive healthcare, Robyn has also presented for the Camden County Department of Health and authored publications highlighting the role of exercise and stress management in improving health and quality of life. Robyn earned a bachelor's degree in Health Promotion and Fitness Management, a Master of Arts in Wellness and Lifestyle Management, and a graduate certificate in Health and Wellness Coaching from Rowan University, as well as an associate's degree in Exercise Science from Camden County College. She is a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) and holds numerous professional credentials, including Certified Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor through the American Council on Exercise, TRX, Parkinson's Disease Specialist through the American Parkinson Disease Association, and GLP-1 Exercise Specialist through NESTA. She is also a Fellow of the Complementary Medical Association and was recognized as a runner-up for one of the association's distinguished professional awards. Robyn attributes her success to a strong work ethic, a lifelong commitment to education, thoughtful career decisions, and a dedication to remaining at the forefront of advancements in health, wellness, and medical fitness.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to a strong work ethic, a lifelong commitment to education, and making intentional career decisions that positioned me to specialize in medical fitness. Continuously expanding my knowledge through advanced education, professional certifications, and staying current with industry trends has enabled me to grow professionally while providing the highest level of service to those I serve. I believe that a dedication to lifelong learning, strategic career development, and excellence has been the foundation of my success.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I have ever received is to believe in myself and continue pursuing my goals, even when others doubt my vision. Success comes from staying committed to continuous learning, personal and professional growth, and trusting in my knowledge and expertise. Remaining confident, resilient, and focused on my purpose has been instrumental in achieving meaningful and lasting success.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the health and wellness industry is to pursue your dreams with confidence, even if they seem ambitious or beyond your reach. Self-doubt is a natural part of any career journey, but it should never prevent you from pursuing your goals. Believe in your abilities, remain committed to learning and growing, and persevere through challenges. If others have achieved success, so can you with dedication, resilience, and the confidence to keep moving forward.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field is being recognized as a pioneer in integrating stress management into medical fitness while emphasizing the importance of proper education, training, and professional credentials. As the industry continues to evolve, maintaining high standards of competency remains essential. At the same time, there are exciting opportunities to advance the profession, including speaking at the upcoming Succeed Conference and leading the development of the fitness industry's first electronic health record platform. These initiatives have the potential to strengthen the connection between healthcare and fitness while improving client outcomes through more integrated, evidence-based care.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that are most important to me, both professionally and personally, are honesty, transparency, and a genuine commitment to helping others. I believe in treating people with integrity, communicating openly, and always doing my best to make a positive difference in their lives. Whether working with clients, colleagues, or students, I strive to serve with compassion, earn trust through authenticity, and provide the highest level of support and care.
