Her Interview
Ten minutes with Rochelle
01What do you attribute your success to?
My faith in God. I'm a woman of faith and it gives me a sense of wanting to help encourage other people. I put myself in their shoes and I make it personal because I've made some errors and mistakes so I don't come at people like I got it all together.
I would like to recognize my Pastor George and Prophetess Debra Morrow of God Is Our Praise Ministries- thank you for everything you have poured in me naturally and spiritually.
My Mentor Christina, thank for every conversation, advice both professionally and in my personally life.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Bloom where you are planted. Like a tree or flower, make sure you bloom because you get what you need to enrich your own soil. Don't go into a job complaining, get what you need from that job because it helps with the next step.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Be confident in yourself. You have to be able to speak to everybody, every walk of life. You have to listen to the people, listen to what they're not trying to say. Don't take it personal. Trust is a major factor. Lead them and gain their trust.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest opportunities in my field is increasing awareness of the financial resources, education, and services available to individuals and families. Many people simply don't realize the tools and support that exist to help them improve their financial well-being. Once they learn about these opportunities, they are often eager to participate and take meaningful steps toward achieving their financial goals. I believe expanding community outreach and financial education is essential to empowering more people to build confidence, make informed financial decisions, and create lasting financial stability.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity is the foundation of both my professional and personal life. I believe in being authentic and consistent, regardless of the environment or the people around me. Rather than blending in, I strive to stand out by remaining true to my values and leading with honesty, accountability, and character. I also recognize that my actions outside of work reflect not only on me but on the organization I represent, so I am intentional about conducting myself with professionalism and respect at all times. Maintaining integrity in every aspect of my life allows me to build trust, inspire confidence, and serve others with credibility.
