Her Story

About Rola

I approach every business challenge as if it's my own baby. When I enter a field or department that needs help or needs achievement, I work on it with my whole heart because I get pleasure from seeing other people's success. That brings joy to my heart. I've been around the block in different fields, and people ask me why I don't stick to one field. It's because I like to learn everything. I don't believe that when you're in the business world, you should stick yourself to only one direction. You should put your foot in everything and have a feel of everything. I truly believe it is very important to be well-rounded. I don't believe that a person should have one career in their life and live behind that desk for 20, 30, 40 years doing the same thing over and over again. It's nice to change, not frequently, but as opportunities come along. Whatever opportunity comes your way, do not be afraid to jump in and say, you know what, I want to learn it, and I want to do it. Nothing is difficult. I can learn anything. Nothing is rocket science unless you are going to NASA. Sky's your limit. Learn whatever comes your way, whatever opportunity, and never say never. That's what I taught my kids, and this is what I do in my life, honestly. I do everything from the heart, not just because I want to do it.

Ten minutes with Rola

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to doing everything from the heart and treating each business challenge as if it's my own baby. Once you feel that way and you have this urge to fix things that are not yours, but because you get some pleasure from seeing other people's success, that brings joy to my heart. I work on every field as if it's my own, and when I enter a department or business that needs help or needs achievement, I give it everything I have. I don't do it just because I want to do it - I do it from my heart. That passion and personal investment in other people's success is what has allowed me to turn around dying stores, fix failing medical practices, build surgery centers from the ground up, and achieve success across so many different industries. I believe that when you truly care about the outcome and work with your whole heart, that's when you can make a real difference.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Whatever opportunity comes your way, do not be afraid to jump in and say, you know what, I want to learn it, and I want to do it. Nothing is difficult. I can learn anything. Nothing is rocket science unless you are going to NASA. Sky's your limit. Learn whatever comes your way, whatever opportunity, and never say never. That's what I always tell my kids and what I do in my life. Don't stick yourself to only one direction in business. You should put your foot in everything and have a feel of everything. It is very important to be well-rounded. I don't believe that a person should have one career in their life and live behind that desk for 20, 30, 40 years doing the same thing over and over again. It's nice to change, not frequently, but as opportunities come along. When one opportunity finishes, look for another one. Take whatever opportunity and never be afraid to learn something new.
