About Ronda
Ronda Beck is a Relief Manager at Waffle House, Inc. who is transitioning into the healthcare field with a focus on medical billing, coding, and health information technology. With a strong passion for the medical profession, she is completing an associate degree in Medical Billing and Coding through DeVry University and has earned certifications in Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) and Health Information Technology (HIT). Ronda is committed to building her experience in healthcare while continuing to apply the leadership, organization, and communication skills she has developed throughout her management career.
Ronda’s professional interests center on medical coding and healthcare documentation, with a particular passion for labor and delivery and oncology. She is drawn to these areas because of her longstanding interest in supporting patients and contributing to meaningful healthcare outcomes. As she continues her transition into the field, Ronda plans to pursue part-time opportunities in medical billing and coding while gaining hands-on experience and expanding her knowledge of healthcare systems, coding practices, and industry standards.
Driven by perseverance and a desire to inspire others, Ronda credits her three daughters and grandchildren as a major source of motivation. She strives to demonstrate that it is never too late to pursue personal and professional goals. Beyond her career, Ronda is actively involved in her church community, where she supports the annual Fried Green Tomato Festival by promoting the event through Facebook Live, coordinating children’s activities, assisting with vendor outreach, and helping with overall event promotion. Her dedication to service, lifelong learning, and community involvement reflects her commitment to making a positive impact both professionally and personally.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my desire to inspire my children and grandchildren by showing them that it is never too late to pursue their dreams. Their support and encouragement motivate me to continue learning, growing, and stepping outside of my comfort zone. I hope to serve as an example of perseverance, determination, and the importance of believing in yourself, regardless of where you are in life.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to pursue their goals early and not wait to invest in their education and future. While it is never too late to make a change, taking the opportunity to learn, grow, and build your career sooner can open many doors and create more opportunities for success. Believe in yourself, stay committed to your goals, and continue developing the skills needed to thrive in the healthcare field.
