What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to refusing to let bias or doubt stand in my way. Throughout my career, I have sometimes been underestimated, but I’ve consistently proven that I belong in every room I enter.
Rather than allowing assumptions to limit me, I’ve relied on confidence, resilience, and a strong belief in my abilities to create opportunities and earn my seat at the table.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to trust your heart and your instincts. When that inner voice tells you to take a step forward, listen to it. If something aligns with your vision and you believe it can come to life, have the courage to pursue it.
Put yourself out there, take bold steps, and don’t let anyone define your limits. Your path is yours to create—so move with confidence and don’t be afraid to claim your space.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest opportunities in my field right now include expanding podcasting into a full-scale production company and app, as well as growing networks and deepening community reach. There is tremendous potential to build platforms that amplify voices and create meaningful impact.
At the same time, challenges include breaking into new areas without prior experience, balancing a full-time job in insurance to fund creative goals, and overcoming gender-based assumptions. Navigating these realities requires persistence, strategic planning, and a strong belief in the long-term vision.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that matter most to me in both my work and personal life are family, community impact, independence, and trusting my instincts. Above all, I’m driven by the pride my children feel when they see what I’ve built. Knowing they look up to me and are excited to attend my shows and podcast events is the most rewarding part of my journey.
Being someone they can admire and learn from keeps me focused and motivated. Everything I do is rooted in creating meaningful impact while showing them the power of believing in yourself and following your own path.
