About Rosa
Rosa Quintero is an accomplished immigration law professional, community advocate, and leadership mentor dedicated to advancing equitable access to legal services and empowering underserved communities. As Case Supervisor at Union Law Group, she oversees legal operations, manages complex immigration casework, supervises legal staff, and ensures clients receive timely, high-quality support throughout the legal process. Her leadership combines operational excellence with a deep commitment to compassionate client advocacy.
Prior to transitioning into immigration law, Rosa built a strong foundation in social services, working extensively with unaccompanied immigrant youth and vulnerable families. Her background in sociology, political science, and community engagement has enabled her to bridge legal services with human-centered support, helping individuals navigate challenging circumstances while leading teams through changing policies, evolving regulations, and complex case management. Throughout her career, she has consistently demonstrated a passion for mentoring others, strengthening organizations, and improving outcomes for both clients and colleagues.
Beyond her professional responsibilities, Rosa is deeply involved in community leadership and volunteer service. She serves as a mentor through MANA de San Diego, has held leadership positions within Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Inc., and is a graduate of the Chicano Federation of San Diego County's Leadership Training Institute. She regularly participates in leadership panels, educational outreach, advocacy initiatives, and mentorship programs that encourage the next generation of Latino leaders. 01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to determination, passion, and an unwavering commitment to serving my community. Throughout my career, I have focused on work that aligns with my values, particularly supporting immigrant individuals and families. My own experiences have inspired me to help others who may be navigating similar first-generation or limited-support journeys. I have learned to trust my instincts, embrace new opportunities even when others questioned whether I was ready, and remain committed to making a meaningful impact through service and leadership.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I encourage young women to trust themselves and never be afraid to advocate for themselves or for others. There will always be people who question your abilities or encourage you to take a different path, but it is important to believe in your own judgment and remain confident in your goals. Even when life does not unfold exactly as planned, stay resilient, trust your instincts, continue learning, and remain committed to making a positive difference.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the greatest challenges in immigration law is the constant evolution of policies and procedures. Changes in legislation and government guidance often require us to reassess legal strategies and adapt quickly while managing highly sensitive cases that directly impact individuals and families. Success requires flexibility, organization, strong communication, and the ability to keep both clients and team members informed, supported, and motivated throughout an ever-changing legal landscape.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Advocacy, determination, community, integrity, personal growth, and service are the values that guide both my professional and personal life. My work with immigrant communities has reinforced the importance of advocating for individuals whose voices may otherwise go unheard, and I believe it is equally important to advocate for myself while encouraging others—especially young women—to do the same. I strive to create environments where people feel supported, valued, and empowered, whether I am helping a client navigate a complex immigration case, mentoring someone in their professional journey, or fostering the well-being and development of the teams I lead.
