About Rosa
Rosa Rodrguez serves as an OTR AR Area Manager at Amazon, a role she has held for approximately three years. Her career path includes prior experience as a consultant in the healthcare sector, where she provided services to elderly individuals typically enrolled in Medicare. Rodrguez earned a bachelor's degree in criminology from John Jay Criminal Justice in New York and a second bachelor's degree in business operations, with a concentration in transportation, from Southern New Hampshire University through its online program. She attributes her professional success to being a hard worker who never gives up and always seeks solutions, even if it requires thinking outside the box. Rodrguez values people most in both her personal life, including family and friends, and in her work, noting that while the work itself remains constant, it is the people who drive it forward. Among the best career advice she has received is to never listen to only one opinion, as some may encourage playing it safe due to envy while others support taking risks that could open new doors.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Rosa
01What do you attribute your success to?
I think of being a hard worker. To never give up. When it comes to my work, I'm somebody that always tries to look for a solution, regardless if you have to go outside the box. I'm not somebody to just handle defeat that well or maybe failure, but I always say you shouldn't allow to fail on the same thing twice.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
To never listen to only one opinion. Because it's human nature that some people might envy your potential and give you an opinion to be safe, not to take a risk, but there will be others that will give you an opinion and be like, hey, take the risk, you never know.
03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
I believe in my personal life is the people. You know, my family, my friends. In work, maybe their work. The work never change. The people do our work.
