About Rosa
Rosa Zermeno serves as territory manager and office manager for Express Employment Professionals Staffing in Rocklin, California. With 14 years in the professional staffing industry and two years in her current role, she oversees day-to-day office operations while helping businesses build teams through recruiting in skilled trades, light industrial, administrative, and professional categories, along with training and development initiatives. Zermeno earned an associate's degree in fashion design with an emphasis on business and completed the Leadership Program through the Roseville Chamber in June. She previously pursued careers in education and fashion design, operating her own bridal store until closing it in 2011, after which she joined Express as a front office coordinator. Her professional achievements include successfully helping manufacturing companies build and retain teams during challenging periods such as the COVID pandemic. Zermeno has received recognition for her leadership completion through the Roseville Chamber as well as acknowledgments from the local state assembly, House of Representatives, and Congressman Kevin Kiley. She attributes her success to a desire to help others who are struggling and to support companies in building their teams, drawing from personal experiences including her son's brain injury in 2024 that prompted a temporary step away from work before returning to manage an office.

01What do you attribute your success to?
Wanting to help others who are struggling and helping companies build their teams when struggling. Personal story of son's brain injury in 2024 led to stepping away then returning stronger, remembering goals and managing an office.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Being told I could be very successful even with many little ones depending on me, and learning from different careers to coach and help my kids choose their career paths.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
It's not the easiest career but it's very rewarding being able to help companies succeed through their teams and see fathers and mothers provide for their families through opportunities a staffing agency offered them.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Bridging the gap between companies looking for employees and helping unemployed obtain proper training or certification to connect them to jobs. Express Employment trying to build that bridge to help more people be employable.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Taking care of my family as well as supporting my local community and never forgetting to invest in myself. As women and mothers we often forget to invest in ourselves while taking care of everyone.
