Rosalinda Mendiola is an experienced retail leader and Coffee House Leader (Store Manager) at Starbucks Coffee Company in San Antonio, Texas. With a career spanning over two decades, she has built a strong foundation in operations management, customer service excellence, and team development. In her current role, Rosalinda oversees all aspects of store operations, including hiring, training, scheduling, and cultivating the signature Starbucks customer experience. She is known for her hands-on leadership style and her ability to create a welcoming, high-performing environment for both partners and customers.
Rosalinda began her career with Bed Bath & Beyond in 2004, where she spent nearly 20 years growing through a variety of roles. Starting as a cashier, she advanced to office manager, department manager, and ultimately district customer service trainer, where she supported eight stores in the Houston area. In this role, she specialized in training teams, enhancing customer experience strategies, and driving business growth through initiatives such as bridal registry development. She also played a key role in coaching store leaders on interpreting sales reports and performance metrics, strengthening overall operational effectiveness.
Her leadership journey has been shaped by strong mentorship and a passion for connecting with others. Inspired by leaders who recognized her potential early on, Rosalinda has continued to build on her strengths in communication, training, and team empowerment. What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve received is to never give up, stay focused on my goals, and always be proud of how far I’ve come. I’ve also learned the importance of knowing my worth and not being afraid to stand in it.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would advise young women entering this industry to be a team player and always follow through on getting the job done. Stay eager to learn, remain open to growth, and approach every opportunity with a positive mindset. Above all, be kind and respectful to others—those qualities will take you far.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest opportunities in my field right now is building strong connections with individuals and businesses to better understand their needs. This creates the ability to support them with effective corporate strategies and tailored training solutions. At the same time, a key challenge is consistently reaching and engaging the right audiences, but it’s also where meaningful impact and growth can happen.

The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are staying motivated and maintaining a positive mindset, even in challenging situations. I strive to bring positivity to others, be a good listener, and truly understand the needs of those around me.
