About Rosana
Rosana Beltres is an accomplished Information Technology leader with more than sixteen years of experience in the healthcare industry, the last seven of which have been dedicated to healthcare systems IT. She currently serves as Director, IT Enterprise Business Applications at Broward Health, where she leads the management of ERP platforms and core business systems spanning finance, supply chain, and operational functions. Her career began in human resources, where she spent several years building expertise in HR information systems before pivoting into enterprise technology leadership—a transition that has given her a uniquely broad, enterprise-wide view of how people, process, and technology intersect within a healthcare organization.
Rosana holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Florida Atlantic University and a Master of Business Administration in Human Resources Management and Services from Nova Southeastern University. This dual foundation in finance and HR has shaped her into a analytically minded, detail-oriented executive who blends strategic thinking with a strong command of legal and regulatory requirements. Rising quickly from an entry-level HR analyst position to roles supporting senior HR leadership, and eventually into enterprise business applications, she has consistently demonstrated the ability to translate opportunity into measurable impact—crediting much of her advancement to thorough preparation, sound analytical judgment, and the mentors who supported her along the way.
Beyond her technical and operational responsibilities, Rosana views her work as fundamentally mission-driven, believing that even behind-the-scenes technology initiatives ultimately serve to support better patient care. She places high value on relationship-building, clear communication, and resilience, and she is passionate about paying that support forward—particularly to young women navigating similar career paths. Looking ahead, she hopes to explore entrepreneurial ventures that would allow her to mentor others facing the same roadblocks she once encountered, reflecting a career built not just on personal achievement, but on a genuine commitment to lifting others up along the way.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Rosana
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to being prepared when opportunities arise. Throughout my career, I've relied on my analytical skills, resilience, and the support of a strong "village" of mentors and colleagues who have guided me along the way.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Two guiding principles have shaped my career: "You live life forward, but you only understand it backwards," and "Success is achieved when opportunity meets preparedness." These have stayed with me throughout my professional journey.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would encourage young women entering this industry to build strong relationships, develop clear and confident communication skills, and prepare themselves so they're ready to seize opportunities when they arise. I'd also urge them to remain visionary in their thinking and to give back to others who are following a similar path.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges I face is balancing the emotional demands of leadership while wearing multiple hats across different responsibilities. At the same time, I see tremendous opportunity in this field — particularly the ability to drive systemic change in healthcare through IT and data, especially when preparedness aligns with the right opportunity.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that matter most to me are mission-driven service, balance, and the support of community — or what I call my "village." I also deeply value preparedness, giving back to others, and resilience in the face of setbacks.
