Rosanna Irene Bolton: Speaker: Rosanna Bolton, Safety EngineerWhat does being an Influential Woman mean to you?Rosanna Bolton: When I think about what it means to be an influential woman, I think about the power of sharing our stories. For me, the influence isn't about titles or recognition, it's about using my journey. To encourage others. I've always loved being a leader, and I've always felt called to help people stay safe, grow, and find their own success in their own way. This moment in my life feels like the right time to reach as many young. Adults and women as I can. My path hasn't always been easy, but every challenge has made the climb worthwhile. And because of that, I want to show others, especially those my age, that it is never too late to succeed, to dream big. Or become someone you never imagined you could be. So here I am today striving to be better than I was yesterday and excited for the woman I'll become tomorrow. If my story can inspire even one person to take their next step forward. Then I know I'm exactly where I'm meant to be.What's one piece of advice you would give to younger women chasing their dreams?Rosanna Bolton: The advice I have for younger women that are chasing their dreams, dream bold. Chase them. With a passion that comes from straight from your soul and your heart. Set your goals with intention, put in the work and celebrate every win along the way. They're all important. Each accomplishment is a stepping stone. Honor it and then confidently rise to the next level. Never settle for the bare minimum. You deserve a life that excites you, challenges you, and fulfills you. Be kind, be courteous, be generous, be loving and giving. But also know that you deserve to receive those same things in return. Demanded. Believe in your greatness. Invest in your growth, and never dim your light for anyone.

Her Story

About Rosanna

I’m a down-to-earth person who believes in living simple, loving deeply, and working with purpose. I enjoy the outdoors and everything that comes with it — fishing at sunrise, hunting in the quiet woods, riding horses, tending a garden, and dreaming about my future river cabin life in retirement.

I’m the proud mother of three incredible daughters and absolutely adore my twin grandsons. Family is my foundation and my greatest motivation.

Professionally, I work in safety because protecting and helping people is who I am at my core. I naturally look out for others — some might call it “mother hen” energy — but I see it as leadership through care. Whether I’m walking the shop floor, teaching CPR, developing procedures, or just checking in with someone, my goal is always the same: make life safer, easier, and more enjoyable for the people around me.

My background across construction, manufacturing, healthcare, restaurant management, and business ownership has shaped me into someone adaptable and resilient. I’ve faced my own struggles, and those experiences have strengthened my empathy, determination, and grit.

I’m a go-getter with big goals — personally and professionally — but I never want success at the cost of who I am. I value integrity, relationships, and meaningful impact over titles.

I love my life. I love where I am. And I’m excited about where I’m headed.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Rosanna

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my determination to figure it out. If I don’t know something, I dig. I research. I ask questions. I want to understand the “why” behind it. That drive to discover and learn helps me move forward with confidence and clarity.

I genuinely enjoy learning something new. There’s a satisfaction in uncovering an answer, connecting the dots, and growing because of it.

I believe you have to stay open-minded. Just because something doesn’t align with your initial thinking doesn’t mean it doesn’t work. Growth requires being willing to try, evaluate, and adjust. It’s rarely one single thing that gets you where you are — it’s a combination of experiences, decisions, lessons, and people along the way.

And once you reach a new level, the real question becomes: What are you going to do with it?

For me, the answer is simple — grab hold of it. Learn everything I can. Share what I know. Help others rise with me.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Opportunities don't happen; you create them. The determination will get you where you need to go.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Never tell yourself you can’t do something just because it looks difficult — or because someone labeled it a “man’s job.”

If it needs to be done, you are capable of learning how to do it.

Don’t allow other people’s limitations, opinions, or insecurities to block your success. Stay focused. Stay determined. Put yourself first when it comes to your growth, your safety, and your future.

Set realistic goals in your personal and professional life. Reach them. Celebrate them. And then set another one. Growth is ongoing.

Ladies — learn practical skills.

Learn to change your own tire.

Learn to build a fire.

Learn to change your oil.

Learn basic self-defense so you walk with confidence in a world that can sometimes feel uncertain.

Independence builds confidence.

Confidence builds strength.

Strength builds freedom.

And freedom allows you to live life on your terms.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge isn’t writing procedures or conducting training.

It’s ensuring that every individual chooses to work safely — especially when production demands are high.

There will always be moments when management is focused on output, deadlines, and numbers. Meanwhile, safety professionals and frontline employees are focused on something just as critical — making sure everyone goes home to their families in one piece.

Most people care. Most teams genuinely look out for one another. But production pressure can test that commitment.

And that’s where real safety leadership shows up.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I live and lead with loyalty, kindness, and responsibility. My goal is to create stability and peace in both my professional and personal life, protecting and uplifting the people around me while continuing to grow into the best version of myself.
