Her Story
About Rose
Rose Eden owns and operates a whipped soap and skincare business based in Nashville, Tennessee. She entered the field in 2024 after spending 21 years in the restaurant industry, where she progressed through roles including crew member, shift manager, and assistant manager. A friend suggested the skincare business idea in 2022, and Eden pursued it following her friend's passing. She earned a Business Essentials Certificate and later an associates degree in business from DeVide University, and she completed a program with the Corner to Corner Nonprofit Organization in November before graduating college in July. Eden personally handles soap production using plant-based ingredients, manages invoices and inventory, and emphasizes strong communication skills in her work. She is also developing a structural business focused on scheduling. Eden credits her decision to start her own venture to her observations of repeated staffing challenges at her previous job, which inspired her to focus on helping others succeed. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, hiking, nature, swimming, and kayaking.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Rose
01What do you attribute your success to?
My last job where I watched the revolving door of chefs and management coming in and out for three years. It helped me realize that if establishments keep having the same issues, I should be helping people help other people instead of working for others.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Be yourself. That is the best advice I've ever received from somebody, was just continue to be yourself.
