Her Interview
Ten minutes with Rose
01What do you attribute your success to?
I would attribute that to my mother, because at a very young age, I saw her working very hard, and I was like, I wanna be... she helped me, she motivated me to be the woman I am today, too, like... I would... I wanted to be in the work field. I wanted to be a professional.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
When I first became a general manager, the boss walked in and saw me doing a task, and he was like, if you don't learn how to delegate tasks, nobody's ever gonna do nothing, they're gonna be like, oh, I don't gotta do it, Rose.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Stay strong. Don't quit when it gets rough. But there is a light at the tunnel.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge is getting employees to come to work, to show up and actually do their job. They just want to get paid and not do anything, just be on their phone.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Loyalty, integrity, honesty. I leave with love.
