Her Interview
Ten minutes with Rose
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my education and my military career, both of which have been instrumental in shaping who I am personally and professionally. My academic training in international relations, political science, and global affairs gave me the analytical foundation to understand complex global and security issues, while my military service provided hands-on experience in leadership, discipline, and operational environments. Together, these paths have shaped my perspective, strengthened my skills, and guided my commitment to service and leadership in my field.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to not suffer from imposter syndrome and not walk into a room believing I don’t belong. I’ve learned that in many professional spaces, even those who appear highly confident often share the same doubts. Recognizing this has helped me show up with greater confidence, stay grounded in my expertise, and fully participate in opportunities without second-guessing my place in the room.
