Her Story
About Rose
Rose Gordon is the CEO and Founder of Pink Maison, a community-driven platform dedicated to empowering underserved designers and creatives in the fashion industry. With over 15 years of experience in fashion and a solid foundation rooted in an MBA from South University, Rose has built Pink Maison into a thriving ecosystem that bridges the gap between creative talent and business opportunity. Her organization offers professional accelerator programs, strategic connections to retail buyers, manufacturers, and funding sources, and curated runway experiences during New York Fashion Week — making industry participation accessible to designers who would otherwise be priced out. What began as an online boutique and a passion for hosting fashion shows in New York's Times Square evolved into a mission-driven movement after Rose recognized a consistent and urgent need among designers: access. She responded by marrying her business acumen with her love of fashion, and the result is a platform that today serves international brands from virtually every corner of the globe, with approximately 90% of her clientele representing designers beyond U.S. borders.

Beyond building Pink Maison, Rose has distinguished herself as a respected consultant, mentor, and thought leader within the broader entrepreneurial and creative communities. She holds multiple prestigious credentials, including the Bank of America Cornell Women Entrepreneurial Program Certification, NASDAQ Milestone Circle Graduate recognition, and certifications through the City of Atlanta Women Entrepreneurial Initiative and Atlanta Beltline Ventures Program. She is also a certified Women's Business Enterprise through WBENC and holds MBE and SBE designations. Rose has leveraged these experiences not only to strengthen her own leadership but to give back — serving as a Small Business Consultant with The Acceleration Project, a Business Mentor with Seed Spot, and previously as Editor-in-Chief of NYSFE Magazine for nearly a decade. Her commitment to the industry is further reflected in her membership with Women Leads and her ongoing collaborations with strategic partners including Shopify and accomplished founders recognized by Forbes, INC, and the Stevie Awards.

At the heart of Rose's work is a deeply held belief that impact must always precede image. She founded the Rose Gordon Foundation to provide scholarships, grants, and mentorship to emerging student designers and creatives, ensuring that financial barriers do not stand between talented individuals and their potential. She has also volunteered with Pink Heart Funds as a Fashion Stylist and Co-Producer for the Survivor Walk Fashion Show, supported the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, and contributed to breast cancer fundraising efforts — reflecting a philanthropic spirit that extends well beyond the runway. Guided by faith, a passion for continuous learning, and an unwavering dedication to creating meaningful opportunity, Rose Gordon is not simply building a brand — she is reshaping the infrastructure of the fashion industry to ensure that the next generation of global creative leaders has every resource, connection, and platform they need to thrive.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Rose
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the mentors who have quietly and profoundly shaped my journey — particularly James, who helped me take my ideas and turn them into focused, executable plans. Beyond individual mentors, the cohort programs I have participated in have been instrumental in refining my skill set and sharpening my direction. I am a firm believer in continuous learning — I read voraciously and absorb everything I can, even when a program covers familiar territory, because there is always something new to take away. Above all, I lead with heart, prioritize impact in everything I do, and lean deeply on my faith, trusting that when I stay true to those principles, everything will fall into place.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The most valuable guidance I have received came from mentors like James, who consistently encouraged me to stay focused and helped me transform my ideas into clear, actionable plans. That counsel — to take what is in my heart and mind and build a disciplined, structured path around it — has been foundational to how I approach my work and lead my organization.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My first question to any young woman entering this industry would be: what impact do you want to make? I would encourage her to lead with heart and to prioritize purpose over prestige. The fashion industry can be dazzling, and it is easy to become consumed by the glamour of it all — but sustainable success comes from impact, not image. I would also encourage her to lean on her faith, because when you are grounded in your values and clear about your purpose, everything has a way of working itself out and falling into place.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The most persistent challenge in this industry is the lack of access — access to buyers, to manufacturers, to funding, and to the right rooms. That gap disproportionately affects underserved and independent designers, and it is exactly what drove me to build Pink Maison. At the same time, I see enormous opportunity in closing that gap through community, technology, and strategic infrastructure. From curating more accessible runway experiences during New York Fashion Week to developing a global resource app, the opportunity to build pathways that did not previously exist for designers anywhere in the world is both urgent and exciting.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
At the core of everything I do is leading with heart. I believe that impact must always come before image, and that the work we do should leave people — and communities — genuinely better than we found them. Faith is also central to how I live and lead; it keeps me grounded, especially in moments of uncertainty. Continuous learning, integrity, and a deep commitment to empowering others round out the values that guide both my professional decisions and my personal life.
