Her Interview

Ten minutes with Rose

01What do you attribute your success to?

When you're down to nothing, what you have left is who you are. And what you do with that is your gift and calling. I think about the parable in the Bible that talks about our gifts and talents. We all have potential within us, and it really doesn't matter what is left has been taken, it's what we do with who we are that becomes the source of influence again.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Be a lifelong learner, and study other successful people, and surround yourself with people who have a vision for more than the everyday.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Opportunities include networking at conferences like Cutting Edge Music Conference and finding new studios for different music styles. Challenges include rebuilding posture and body after injury, pacing myself due to cognitive and physical limitations from the accident, and needing to finish books to open doors to public speaking.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I am a Christian and believe in getting up every day and making the best of each day that we've been given. I have guiding principles that align with the Word of God. I believe in treating other people the way that you want to be treated, and helping everyone maximize their potential. When we improve others along with ourselves, the world is a better place. In my professional world, that means mentoring other professionals, helping people under me grow, and seeing potential in others.
