Ten minutes with Rose

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Sticking to it, really, just hanging in there, not giving up. I listened to your recent podcast Never Too Late and a lot of what they talked about I believe.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Get that training. A lot of young folks think they can just walk on television but the training is very important. Understanding the craft. It's a job and you have to treat it like a job in order to survive. Learn to leave your personality, your opinions, your beliefs outside the door so that you can capture the essence of the character.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Being a Black woman. No matter how many degrees I have, it's always been about opportunity. We haven't had nearly enough opportunities.
