Roseann Hogan is a seasoned public relations, media, marketing, and development executive with more than two decades of experience advancing mission-driven organizations through strategic fundraising and audience engagement. Most recently, she served as Annual Giving and Events Manager at Bridge Over Troubled Waters, where she led comprehensive, multi-channel fundraising initiatives, donor stewardship strategies, and live and digital engagement experiences to strengthen relationships and improve retention. Known for leading by example, Roseann combines professionalism, diplomacy, and enthusiasm to build trust with donors, partners, volunteers, and colleagues alike.

Throughout her career, Roseann has specialized in designing audience-centric programming that keeps an organization’s mission front and center while driving measurable impact. She is particularly proud of her ability to grow revenue by deepening donor participation—transforming one-time or monthly supporters into more engaged, consistent contributors through thoughtful storytelling and personalized outreach. Her work emphasizes data-informed strategy, strong CRM utilization, and meaningful relationship-building, all aimed at creating sustainable growth and long-term community investment, especially in support of youth experiencing homelessness.

Roseann’s background spans nonprofit, cultural, and arts organizations across the Boston area, including fundraising roles with institutions such as Boston Ballet, Boston Symphony, and the Huntington Theatre, as well as leadership in neighborhood theater initiatives. She holds an undergraduate degree in Professional Writing and Media with a second major in Theatre Arts from the University of Massachusetts Boston, along with a Certificate in Fundraising from Boston University. Roseann credits her success to the storytelling skills she developed through her education and lifelong passion for the arts—believing that music, dance, and live performance not only inspire connection, but help keep society thoughtful, empathetic, and civilized.

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is to focus on living well. Instead of stooping to someone else’s level, strive to excel and lead by example—your success speaks for itself.

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

"My advice to young women entering the industry is to seek out volunteer opportunities and gain real-world experience—there are many excellent programs available. Most importantly, never stop learning and growing, both personally and professionally.

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in my field right now is keeping our mission at the center while meeting growing demand. The number of youth who need support continues to rise, and with it, the associated costs. At the same time, this presents an opportunity to innovate and find new ways to serve our community effectively.

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life are honesty and authenticity. I strive to stay true to myself and not change who I am to fit someone else’s expectations.
