What do you attribute your success to?
I began my career in Ghana, working in business development within the safety and health field before moving to the United States in 2018 to join my husband. After relocating, I transitioned into the pharmaceutical industry, starting as an operator and steadily advancing to my current role as Batch Records and Documentation Supervisor at National Resilience. My expertise lies in quality assurance, documentation, and sterile injectables. In my role, I oversee batch record reviews and ensure that all documentation adheres to Good Documentation Practice (GDP) standards. I’m also responsible for verifying critical parameters, investigating deviations, and managing product segregation when necessary to uphold product quality and regulatory compliance. One of my proudest professional achievements has been earning a promotion to supervisor—a milestone that reflects my dedication, consistency, and commitment to excellence. I am equally proud of completing my master’s degree in Project and Quality Management with distinction, an accomplishment that required balancing my academic goals with the demands of work and family life. These experiences have strengthened my leadership and reinforced my passion for continuous growth and quality-driven performance.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I encourage young women entering this industry to work hard, stay humble, and never stop learning. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, seek mentorship, and step outside your comfort zone—growth often comes from challenges. My advice is simple: keep going, even when it feels hard—persistence always pays off. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and serving in my church’s women’s ministry, where I help organize events and support other women and host and hostesses . These experiences keep me grounded, connected, and inspired to continue growing both personally and professionally.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced in my field was starting over in a new country and adapting to new systems, cultures, and professional expectations. It required resilience, confidence, and a willingness to prove myself in a highly regulated environment where quick decision-making and accuracy are critical. Working under pressure, often with limited supervision, taught me to trust my judgment and remain calm in complex situations. Balancing my career, ongoing education, and family responsibilities has also been a significant challenge—but it has strengthened my time management, discipline, and perseverance. I see every challenge as an opportunity to grow, and I believe that adaptability and continuous learning are key to long-term success in this industry.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Discipline, continuous learning, and resilience are the values that guide me both professionally and personally. I approach every task with integrity and a strong sense of responsibility, always striving to deliver my best work. I believe that consistent effort, paired with faith, creates opportunities and opens new doors. My attention to detail and commitment to doing things the right way have helped me build trust and credibility in my field. These values not only define how I work but also shape how I live—reminding me to stay grounded, keep learning, and persevere through every challenge with purpose and grace.
