Her Story

About Roselle

Roselle McGawGammad is a finance professional with almost 20 years of experience in payment operations at a financial institution. She began her career at Bank of America during its merger with Fleet, where she received training in teller and personal banking roles. Over the years, she has progressed from front-end client-facing positions to back-end operations, including deposit operations, dispute resolution, and cash management or treasury management. In her current role, she focuses on ACH origination, electronic payments processing, ensuring smooth operations, posting payments to client accounts, sending to the Fed, and following regulatory procedures. She has played a key part in creating guidelines and processes within her growing institution. Roselle pursued nursing studies after high school but dropped the course, later taking accounting courses that she did not complete. She earned ACH certifications on the operational side, covering payment processing, file formats, and NACHA operating rules. She is a member of the MassBankers Association and the New England automated clearing house. Roselle attributes her success to personal growth, her family, and embracing challenges without fear of failure, advice she shares with her children.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Roselle

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to myself and to my family. Growing myself more and knowing my strengths. I always say to myself and to my kids, don't be afraid of failing. When you fail at something, don't stop there. Keep going. You never give up. Failing doesn't mean that's the end of it. It's gonna grow you.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I've received is not to be afraid of approaching somebody or learning new tasks. That's how you'll achieve and find your strengths. Don't be afraid of change. Changes are not always bad. Change could be good. You might find a new strength you've never known before.
