Her Story

About Rosemary

Rosemary Frick is a music manager, publisher, and label owner building her career around artist development, music publishing, and personalized support for emerging talent. Her professional journey represents a significant transition from mental health care into the music industry, where she is applying skills developed through her clinical background to a field that has long inspired her. Her experience includes hands-on exposure to the music business through an industry internship and festival stage management, along with establishing professional relationships within the music rights and publishing ecosystem. She is currently completing her studies at Arapahoe Community College as she prepares for the next stage of her professional career.

Frick's academic background reflects a strong commitment to education and personal development. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Administration from Bellevue University and a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Colorado Christian University, earning a 4.0 GPA in both programs. She was recognized on the Dean's List at both institutions, and her graduate studies included participation in the Chi Sigma Iota Honors Chapter. Her transition into music has allowed her to combine her educational and professional experiences with her passion for helping others. She is particularly interested in supporting talented artists who may lack funding, connections, resources, or the knowledge necessary to navigate the music industry.

At the heart of Frick's professional philosophy is the belief that talent deserves an opportunity and that people should not allow circumstances or the doubts of others to determine their future. She envisions a career focused on meaningful relationships and individualized artist development rather than simply building a large organization. Her broader commitment to helping others is reflected in her community involvement, including volunteer work with Promise Ranch Therapeutic Riding and efforts supporting people experiencing homelessness, as well as her ongoing dedication to enriching the lives of others through care, inclusion, and meaningful experiences. Guided by kindness, respect, perseverance, and compassion, Frick hopes to create opportunities for overlooked talent while encouraging people to recognize their own potential and continue pursuing the possibilities available to them.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Rosemary

01What do you attribute your success to?

My God for his gracious favor upon my life. My Godfather, who raised me to be the country girl I am today. He taught me to never give up on a dream, but to chase that dream even harder when people discouraged me from achieving it. He is in Heaven now, and I made him a promise that I would achieve everything I set my mind to. That promise continues to push me forward and reminds me to never give up.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The guidance that has influenced me most is the belief that I should not allow someone else’s doubts to determine what I believe I am capable of accomplishing. Throughout my education and career, I have learned the importance of perseverance and continuing forward even when circumstances are difficult. I believe in taking challenges one step at a time—whether that means one hour, one day, or one week—and staying connected to my passions and goals.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would encourage young women to believe in their abilities and not allow discouragement or other people's doubts to define their potential. Talent does not always receive an immediate opportunity, particularly when someone lacks funding, connections, or industry guidance. I believe that setbacks should not be mistaken for failure. It is important to remain persistent, continue learning, and keep pursuing your goals even when the path is difficult.

I would also encourage aspiring professionals to stay connected to their passions. My own transition from mental health care into the music industry required me to pursue additional education, gain practical experience, build industry relationships, and learn a new professional landscape. That experience reinforced my belief that it is possible to create a new path when you are willing to continue moving forward.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

I see a significant gap between the amount of talent that exists and the number of people who receive meaningful opportunities within the music industry. Many emerging artists are overlooked because they lack financial resources, industry connections, or an understanding of how to navigate the business.

I believe this also creates a significant opportunity for more personal and accessible approaches to artist development. I want to help talented people who may otherwise never have an opportunity to be heard and provide the guidance and support they need to develop their careers while maintaining their individuality.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I value kindness, respect, perseverance, compassion, inclusion, and helping others recognize their potential. I believe people come from different backgrounds and circumstances, and those differences should be approached with understanding rather than judgment.

Helping others is an important part of how I approach both my professional and personal life. Whether I am supporting an artist, caring for others, helping someone in need, or simply taking the time to acknowledge another person, I believe small acts of kindness and encouragement can create meaningful connections. I also try to look for the positive or silver lining even during difficult circumstances.
