Her Interview

Ten minutes with Roshelle

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to the strong support system I've had throughout my career and the diverse experiences I've gained along the way. My father's incredible work ethic continues to inspire me to keep learning, growing, and helping others.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I've received is to follow my passion rather than focus on titles or accolades. I've found that when you genuinely enjoy what you do, success and fulfillment naturally follow.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I encourage young women to seek out mentors, stay passionate about their work, and never be afraid to ask for help. Building strong relationships and being open to learning from others can make a significant difference in both personal and professional growth.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in my field is keeping up with changing government requirements for student nutrition programs while continuing to provide high-quality service. At the same time, it's important to ensure that cafeteria staff feel valued and recognized for the meaningful role they play in supporting students' health and well-being every day.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Honesty, integrity, and caring for others are the values that guide me in both my work and personal life. I believe in treating people with respect, doing what's right, and making a positive difference wherever I can.
