Her Story
About Roxanna
I am an award-winning screenwriter, director, producer, and creative leader with a deep commitment to authentic storytelling, youth empowerment, and the healing power of creativity, currently serving as Creative Director for Dear Jack, Dear Louise at Theatre Jacksonville, a role I have held since January 2026, where I bring this affecting love letter to unlikely romance to the stage. I also serve as a Guest Presenter for WE Believe.ca, where I speak to gatherings of over eight thousand youth across North America on topics including mental and physical health, volunteering, bullying and self-worth, creativity, and how each of us can better the world.
I am the founder of Roxxiedanz Productions, Inc., where I serve as Screenwriter, Director, and Producer, working on projects including Run Wild, a coming-of-age story shot on Super 16mm featuring Emmy-nominated Jophielle Love and two-time Emmy winner Sally Struthers, based on a true story. I also serve as Director and Producer for Mandy's Voice, inspired by true life events and featuring International Autism Advocate and Spokesperson Rachel Barcellona and Karen Sillas, and as Film Producer for The Lighthouse. I am also Co-Author of Empowering the Patient, a revolutionary book about the mind-body connection, wellness, and whole-hearted healing.
I serve as Mentorship Liaison with MasterClass, where I have secured and distributed over three hundred MasterClass grants for graduating seniors and faculty at the Douglas Anderson School of the Arts, and I am a member of Women Independent Producers and New York Women in Film and Television.
Across my career in film, theatre, and youth advocacy, my work has been driven by a belief in the power of storytelling to heal, connect, and inspire change. Whether I am directing a film, writing a screenplay, mentoring young artists, or speaking to thousands of youth, I bring a passionate, collaborative, and purpose-driven approach that uplifts voices, builds community, and encourages others to follow their dreams and be the change they wish to see in the world. I am proud of the work I have done throughout my career and excited to continue creating, mentoring, and inspiring through film, theatre, and youth empowerment.

Ten minutes with Roxanna
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to purpose and will and gratitude.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best advice is to get it in the can. Everything you've ever done in your life matters and all those life skills can be transposed into your career if you're willing to step back and appreciate the value that you've already invested into yourself.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Take your time and do your research so that you really understand the complexity. Ask good questions. Ask how you can help someone that you want to work with. Believe in yourself. Don't get arrogant on the last 3 steps. Confidence is preparedness.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
In work: integrity of the subject matter, adding value to the world, positive relationship with collaborators, being reliable and doing what I say I'm going to do, being a good listener. In home life: listening to my body to understand my health, and for my family to feel and experience how much I love them exactly who they already are.
