About Ruby
Ruby Wynn is an Executive Chef who has held that title since graduating in 2005. She currently works at the Chi Omega Sorority at Oregon State University, where her responsibilities include creating menus while accounting for diet restrictions and preferences of the residents. Her prior experience includes roles as a prep cook and catering chef at a major restaurant chain, chef positions at restaurants in downtown Lebanon and Albany Oregon, operating her own catering business, and serving as chef at a country club in Salem. Wynn grew up helping her grandmother cook in a single-parent household and later drew on that background to provide for her family as a single mom after getting clean and sober. She advises others to do it afraid and push through what scares them.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Do it afraid. Don't be scared of people, but absolutely do what scares the living crap out of you. When I became a single mom, I was scared to actually get it done. But I did it, and here I am.
