Her Interview
Ten minutes with Ruchi
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to walking the talk and having integrity. Even when somebody's not watching, do what is good and right, not just to create an impression but because it becomes muscle memory.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best advice I've received is: Before you say I can't, say I'll try. It's easier to say no I can't do that. Why not give it a try, fail at it, and then say yeah I don't think I can do that.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would say always keep an open mind. Every individual has a different journey. There's no template to it. Keep a destination but while reaching to that destination, enjoy the journey along the way.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge is that women are always given less opportunities in corporate. The biggest opportunity is to embrace the change in technology, especially with AI, having flexibility and adaptability around the changing environment without impacting performance.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Treating everybody with respect and empathy is really critical. Having difference of opinion but agree to disagree with respect. Lead with an example, be the change you want to be. Integrity is very important.
