Her Interview
Ten minutes with Ruchira
01What do you attribute your success to?
My parents' unwavering support and confidence in me, even when questioned about giving me freedom and investing in my education, made all the difference.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Don't run after money in your initial career. Run after learning, optimize for the experience, because money will follow if you create the skills early.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Find problems you're passionate about, because once you're passionate, your curiosity will lead to success. Be self-aware if what you're doing isn't your calling. It took me time to find my passion in product, but knowing it's not your calling is good enough.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Challenges: Differentiate between fluff and real value in AI to avoid a bubble like the dot-com era. Opportunities: Every idea is doable with frontier models; you can start your own company by yourself without waiting for engineers or leases.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Honesty to yourself and people around you, transparency, and being grounded.
