About Rut
Rut Cruz is an accomplished Accountant with more than 15 years of experience in accounting and finance, currently serving as a Senior Accountant in the beauty care industry in North Port, Florida. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Public Accounting in the Dominican Republic and holds certifications in U.S. Income Tax and Corporate Tax while pursuing her CPA credential.
Rut began studying accounting in high school and has built a diverse career spanning accounting, finance, and Human Resources. Her experience includes managing the full accounting cycle, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, inventory, reconciliations, and financial reporting, both in the Dominican Republic and the United States.

01What do you attribute your success to?
Accounting is like my life because I started studying it in high school and can identify everything in the accounting side, making reconciliations and financial reports really easy for me.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Being honest and getting experience makes it easier; I started in college and have over 15 years, so working in accounting is easy as I know all the processes, just need to refresh laws per state.
