Her Story
About Ruth
I spent 27 years in ministry, where I developed consistent relationships and connections with people to empower them, minister to them, and enrich their lives. Through that experience, I gained the compassion and wisdom that now fuels my work. I started my company, Take Charge Enterprises, LLC, several years ago, initially as a desktop publishing and graphic design concept where I published for my clients. Through the years, that vision has grown and become more personalized to personal development, not only for myself but for others that I reach. In July of last year, I started my current journey in network marketing, which really took off in October. This particular business coupled with my vision to empower women through motivating them to renew their mind, have the right attitude, and handle stressful situations in a more positive way. When I was able to partner with this particular company, it fell in connection with my vision to empower women to prosper, not only emotionally, mentally, and spiritually, but also now financially. This gives me a broader platform to be able to speak with women and show them they have options. A lot of times women stay in situations, whether it's a relationship or a place in life, because they feel they're stuck and don't have options. I like to empower women to let them know you have options to take the next step. I'm looking forward to my journey in this season after myself coming through some transformational experiences and being able to utilize my long-term experiences and wisdom to empower others. I just recently published my first book, although I've been a publisher for others for many years, and I'm working on a second and several other projects that I'm excited about. I'm constantly marketing and putting my information before the right audiences on social media, planning events to introduce myself to other platforms, whether it's a speaking engagement or a magazine interview. Over the next 5 years, I see that I'll have several of my books published, and I'll have different platforms to share and empower others. My goal is to be a platform speaker, a keynote speaker, to be in demand with a voice that people want to hear, a voice that has a message that really is creating change and impact for others.

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
I believe it was Brian Tracy who would always say, if you help enough people get what they want, you'll get what you want. I feel that I have what it would take to really help a lot of people, and that in itself will take care of whatever I desire out of the platform. If I can get the information, or get the knowledge, and get the inspiration into enough environments, the reward to me is reciprocal.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Never give up. Always take the next step. Pause if you have to, but always keep going. Take time to review your plan and tweak it as you have to, but keep going.
