Her Story
About Ruth
I started in financial planning 11 years ago at Trilogy Financial in LA. I studied finance and international business to perfect my Spanish and learn money management from the bottom up with a goal of becoming a venture capitalist. I founded Libre Advisors in mid-2021 to serve the underserved Hispanic community, now helping 350 families nationwide. My day involves client reviews, team development, operations, studying trends and AI for innovation. I value focusing on helping people over just making money.

Ten minutes with Ruth
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the desire to help people and being passionate about that. A friend advised focusing on helping people rather than making money, and the money will come. Being authentic, transparent, and building genuine relationships with clients has been key.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Don't compare yourself to others. Compare yourself with who you were yesterday. As long as I'm better than I was yesterday, that's a win. I find a lot of gratitude in that.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Nothing is an overnight success, but it is a very rewarding career. My business model is fully remote, offering true freedom and the ability to build passive income while traveling the world with just a laptop.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge is focus. We can all be very distracted with everything going on. I have so many things I want to do and have to force myself to focus on one thing at a time and prioritize.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
God is number one, serving as my moral compass. Always do right by people, have integrity, be honest, and treat others as you want to be treated. Run a business with integrity, put clients first, and make service accessible even if they can't compensate yet.
